Redwood Table seating 16

This table is made from two book-matched cuts of a redwood tree that was felled on the clients property 3 years prior. It was air dryed, then kiln dried. We designed the table to allow for the wood to move laterally with the seasonal changes to avoid cracking. The base was Japanese in style, but used galvanized bolts so that it could be disassembled and tightened as the wood expanded and contracted seasonally
