Restoration or a 200 Year Old Church Door

This piece came from Thailand, and was make from Old Mahogany and Paduk. The piece was originally a church door, and was converted to a table more than 60 years ago. The joinery in the piece was all hand cut.

As the wood aged and contracted, it pulled away from the frame and very little was left holding the piece together. It was a close call, as it was almost thrown away, but the client is very happy they had it restored.
